This is mainly a link list entry since to repost all of the news would make for quite the hefty entry.

Notes from the Famitsu Article appeared first, followed by scans and further details, and then the interview itself.

Square-Enix posted a Demo Overview and we gave special attention to the new Assist System. We also got a look at the Move List and translated Kain and Lightning's moves.
Just a quick translation of a Duodecium article that appeared on Not too much new information, but there will be a longer article in the print magazine with interviews with Normura and Arakawa available this week. Tranlsation is under the cut -

Lightning is drafted! Dissidia Duodecium Announced! )

The Official Website is open though it only contains a remix of the main themes and a tagline - "The Story of Facing Defeat at the Final Decisive Battle"

Also, it is now listed at S-E's TGS site and there will be a trailer and a demo available. The blurb reads - "The Goddess of Harmony Cosmos and the God of Discord Chaos have summoned new warriors. This is the new Fantasy they shall weave. Don't miss the new characters' stories and the evolution of the battle system!"
The first scan from Weekly Shonen Jump can be viewed here on Photobucket, with many thanks LJ user [ profile] tastsubelle. I have gone through and translated the entire thing other than the Parasite Eve: The 3rd Birthday blurb. A summary for those who do not wish to read the whole thing -

  • This is a sequel to Dissidia and will cover a new war between Light and Dark

  • Cecil and Garland are confirmed to be returning

  • Kain of FFIV is joining the cast and has the HP attack "Gungnir" and is a strong aerial character

  • Lightning of FFXIII is joining the cast and has the EX-Burst Zantetsuken and will wield both her sword and magic

  • There is a new double-gauge at the bottom of the HUD, no idea what this will be used for but that confirms at least one new element to the battle system. However, (and this is just my theory) it looks like a two-level EX-Gauge.

More news should be available during the Tokyo Game Show next week.
